I will be starting a new job as a Science Writer for the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) from August 1! Very excited to actually get a full-time job as a science writer, and the work sounds like it’ll be fun.

It’s been a busy few months–I drove cross-country from Santa Cruz to Washington, DC, during the first week of June–a lot of fun, and definitely the best way to see the U.S. I then started job-hunting in DC, and also did a brief editorial internship at Science News magazine. I just finished that this Friday (July 29), and now I’m looking forward to a real job…and I definitely consider myself extremely lucky to get one this quickly in this economy!
